The Beverly Willis Architecture Foundation is looking for a new director.

Based in New York, the foundation works to change the culture of the building industry so that women’s work– past, present and future – is acknowledged, respected and valued. It does this by documenting women’s work, educating the public and transforming industry practice through collaborations with museums, professional organizations and other groups in the areas of architecture, design, landscape, engineering, technology, real estate and construction.

The position is described as follows:

“Beverly Willis Architecture Foundation, a national research and education non-profit, offers an exceptional opportunity for an inspired and energetic leader who is passionate about advocating for the advancement of women in the built environment in the U.S. –past, present and future—to become its next director. BWAF is accepting applications from those who have non-profit experience, funding development, and management skills with a background in or knowledge of modern [1900+] architectural history and women’s issues.

The new director will provide strategic leadership and funding approaches, creative vision and strengthen the existing direction of the Foundation, helping it implement its core programs and reach its full potential as the nation’s foremost source for historical and current data and research about women in architecture and related fields.
